I’m Liz de Koning—a spiral-dancing, soul-driven artist whose work is rooted in nature, emotion, and a good dash of midlife rebellion.
Whether I’m painting windswept skies, ancient runes, or the subtle shimmer of animal energy, I create art that carries intention. These aren’t just pretty pictures—they’re visual spells. Quiet companions. Emotional echoes. Portals into something deeper.
Art, for me, is connection. It’s a way to make sense of the world, one brushstroke at a time. My work isn’t about matching your couch—unless your couch happens to be an altar to emotional depth and forest spirits. It’s about resonance. Energy. Stories that unfold long after the paint has dried.
My process is as fluid as the elements I work with. I experiment. I explore. I never throw anything away—because I believe every piece has something to teach me. I’ll find the meaning in it eventually. I always do.
I don’t believe in pushing art on people. I believe in letting it speak. Letting it call the right person home. Maybe that’s you.

I’ve discovered that I love to experiment with new materials and techniques and one of my biggest drivers is to problem solve my art … I never throw any of my art away, as there’s always a way to make something of it … and I will find that way!!
